This is the design i had chosen specially stitched for Theresa for my PIF which she signed up. Theresa likes Lizzie Kate designs and love tea, wouldnt it be wonderful to combine these two into stitches.

I have chosen a matching dark brown frame to go along with this finish. It matches & highlighted the wordings.

To add touches to my finish, i also added linen lace as border.

Other than my frame piece, i included a piece of fabric which i dyed it for her. Hope she likes the colour and can make good use of it. Lace & buttons for her to add touches to her beautiful work too.

Will be working on my next two PIF. It's nice to stitch for someone, looking forward for a new start...

I intend to stitch more falling snow after i completed to make it more winter-like. I love snow! Unfortunately, our only season here hot & humid!

My helper went back Philipine past weeks and even tho i was tied up running the household & looking after my 3 boys, i managed to stitch a little for my Permin Christmas in town cos i really enjoy stitch-along and like this piece alot. Very christmassy which i like!

This is my progress so far...

Permin Christmas in Town SAL - part1

My Permin Christmas SAL started 2 weeks ago with my friends, Joei and Yvonne.
I really enjoy stitching this piece. It's very christmassy and colourful, romantic too! These shop houses reminds me of the cosy street of UK which i love to revisit one day...

I have stitched almost one shop house so far already. This hand-dyed fabric was a birthday gift from Joei. I love the blue-dye which represents the beautiful sky. Joei has beautiful collection of hand-dyed fabric on her blog-shop Jardin de Joy.

I have been very busy past week as my helper went back home and will only be back 2 weeks later. The other day, i left my cross-stitch work on the sofa, just when i came back shortly, see what my little boy is playing with...

Birthday Present from my dear sons...

Both my lovely son's gave me present for my birthday this year.

Knowing i'm into baking and a baking books hoarder, my eldest boy, Yi brought this book "500 Cupcakes & Muffins" secretly in the bookstore when we went out weeks before my birthday with his own pocket money. Isn't that sweet of him. It has 500 recipes & lotsa beautiful bakes inside.

My second boy, Jun brought this stationery holder for me.Like his father, he's a practical person than a romantic one lol...

My family are my supporter when it comes to my baking. They eats whatever i churn out lol...They are my inspiration and motivating factor for me to learn baking too. The joy of seeing them eating and enjoying makes me happy. Baking is also bonding time for us.

I always admire those beautiful stitches finished it into a note-book at Loreta blog. And now! i received one from her for my birthday! She knew i like Tralala and this pink & grey design is certainly one of my favourite! Loreta also personalised with my initial on it. So sweet!
I'm thinking of using it as my stitching journal but on the other hand, i dont bear to write anything on it or dirty it since its so beautifully finished. I want to treasure it as it is!

Along are matching fabric and silk floss. The colours are so sweet~

Birthday Present from Yuko!

Yuko never failed to surprise me everytime i received something from her. I love the way she wrapped the present, she put in alot of time and effort in preparing the gifts.I received over from the mail-man a very beautiful package nicely wrapped up and with lotsa cute birthday stickers decorated around. I was really too excited and couldnt wait any longer to open up the present, if not i can share with all the look of the package.

Yuko knew that i love pink, infact we share similar liking in colours too. She specially prepared her gifts with the colour pink knowing i will like it. She knew i'm into baking lately too, she got me baking supplies too! Yes, Yuko! I love it all!

Let's start with this sweet framed piece Yuko stitched for me. It's from Lizzie Kate which is one of my favourite designer. She also added lace and beads, its very pretty! This is one design i always wanted to stitch, now i have one stitched by a wonderful friend. The stitches are very delicate as its stitched on 40ct fabric. I appreciate Yuko for your effort in stitching something personal just for my birthday as i knew you have not been able to stitch much past months. From the bottom of my heart, i thank you for your thoguhts and effort.

There are just so so many things she sent me that i can go on and on listing them down. A picture speaks of thousand words. Hence i am going to share all the lovely gifts she sent me below.

She spoilt me with so many gifts!
A very beautiful Maryse Stitchers' wallet ( i love Maryse design), she sure knows me well. A very elegant key porch, must be very expensive too hehe... A piece of fabric she specially dyed for me for our Permin SAL. I was having problem choosing a suitable piece of fabric for this project, with this dyed fabric from Joei own boutique "Jardin de Joy" range, "Winter Day"(very sweet of her to plan the suitable colour and shades for me) i can start this project right away! Very nice colour right! Please share my joy with all these gifts she presented me.

Tho you are away but remember this special day of mine. Thank you for sharing your love with me and your kindness & friendship. I'm truly touched and appreciate it my friend!

I met a very wonderful lady through my blog, since then we became friends and we would exchange mails chat about anything under the sun. It's just so amazing how blogging can bring friendship together when she's from the other part of the globe from where i am. I'm very happy to introduce to all my new friend here from Louisiana, Jackie Guillory.

I have specially stitched this french design cherub and finish it as an ornament with victorian style in mind. Lace, pearls & button are used as these are Jackie's favourite. I'm happy to hear that she likes it very much!

When Sachiko suggested a Christmas Exchange to me, i was so excited as it was my first exchange!

I have chosen this design from Lizzie Kate,finished it as an ornament for her with lace. Overall it looks sweet! I have also added some goodies for her. I am so happy to hear that Sachiko loves it all! It was such a wonderful & memoriable exchange!

I just came back from holiday and upon opening up the letter box, cards and packages were waiting for me! By the look of the neat and beautiful hand-writing, i knew it must be Joei!
Look what she has sent me! I love it so so much! Thank you so much Joei!

Knowing i love to collect & stitch teapots, she specially chosen this Friendship teapot kit from Dimension. I can't wait to stitch it! It's a very beautiful design!

And look at this sweet & lovely thread-ring that comes with my favourite colour pink dyed-thread. The design is from Perrette Samou which is one of my favourite designer! She knew me well! I love Perrette Samou design! I love the details used in this thread-ring. The stitches are very delicate, stitched one-over-one & it's super neat!

Into baking

Have been very busy at home since my children school holiday started last month. Not much stitching and progress to share as most of the time i spent playing and looking after them. Three boys! My hands are certainly tied! lol...

However, with them around, i spent alot of my time baking. The joy of seeing my children & family likes my bakes and the house filled with baking aroma makes me happy and i'm so passionate with.

I like to share what i bake today. I'm also considering setting up another blog to share my baking passion. Will share with all once its set up.

Meanwhile...my Peach muffins.

Tomorrow will be sugar swiss roll & raisin bread.

It's my favourite time of the year again! Started decorating my home with Christmas ornaments around the home. Let's start with this Christmas Town corner first...

My Christmas town is up! I brought this set of Christmas town many years ago and every year i will take it out to decorate for Christmas.

Every year my home christmas decor is different with different colour theme. This year, it will be gold & red. I love the figurines and the houses, with jazz music and a little lights up, it sets the mood for X'mas!

Loreta was the winner for my Blog Anniversary last month. Just before i send out the gift she won, i found out from her blog that her birthday happened to be in the same month.
So I thought it would be nice to stitch something just for her birthday too. It was difficult to decide which to stitch for her as she has very good taste and delicate in her work.
Eventually, i went ahead with Maryse banner which i think suits well just for her birthday.

Christmas SAL

My Christmas SAL with Loreta and Dovile come to an end as we completed our Tralala Mere Noel. It's fun to stitch-along with friends stitching the same design in the mood for the festive as we count down to Christmas.

I stitched gold beads in string on the tree. It looks like golden balls we hang on our Christmas tree. The picture doesn't shows the sparkle on the golden beads which it does in real life.
Next, each of us will decide how to finish it up according to our preference. Will share our finish piece again on 1 December 2008. I'm looking forward to hang this at my Christmas corner at home next to our Christmas tree.

Meanwhile, i'm working on my LHN Neighborhood. It's hard to put it down as im enjoying building my houses. Hope to post my progress soon. Till then, Happy Stitching~

I'm very happy to hear that my "Pink Package" had reached Yuko and she likes what i have specially prepared for her birthday present. I named it the "Pink package" as everything inside is in her favourite colour, Pink!
I have chosen Tralala strawberry girl in pink which i think Yuko will like it! She's such a lovely girl, just like Yuko!

i added white floral lace on the top & bottom as border. It brings out the pink in the design and highlighted the white florals in it.

Matching pink frame and to personalise it, i used Yuko's blog name "Be Happy" as the header. Wishing her Happy always!

Sweet Treats Framed~

Was down with flu recently, hence not much progress for my stitching. Nevertheless, i have framed up my "Sweet Treats" after finding a suitable frame for it.

Overall, i like the results! I think the milky white wooden frame goes with the colours of Sweet Treats. Will be framing up my LHN Coffee & Tea series next, i'm looking forward to share with all again!

I have just venture into another new hobby, baking!

I had a great bonding time whipping in the kitchen with my boys! Our first bake, Chocolate chips cookies. Very crunchy and yummy! I will be attending baking class tomorrow with my boy, Jun on baking yummilicious fruits & choc tart!

My LHN Coffee & Tea SAL with Joei has come to an end as we completed our last piece 'Spiced Tea'. I intend to frame them up individually. I hope to finish Sweet Treats this week also and I'm very excited to see both frame up as these are two of my favourites one. Will post again once its all framed up. Take a look at Joei beautiful piece, you will be just as impress as me, very beautiful with six designs stitched together.

This is my very first SAL and a very enjoyable one stitching along with my good friend, Joei. We will update each other of our progress, i enjoyed our SAL and looking forward for more of such SAL. Do let me know if anyone comes across any SAL, i love SAL!

Pink is my favourite colour, but this fuschia pink looks great on Spiced Tea. I have yet to taste spiced tea, wonder how it will taste like.

Specially stitched for Joei~

It was difficult to decide what to stitch for my good friend Joei birthday. She is an expert finishes with good taste. To choose a design she likes and to stitch it for a prof like her is really not easy! Eventually, i went ahead with this design from 'Tralala" and finished it into a bell-pull for her birthday pressies.

I had chosen this design as the three hearts represents my blessings for her. I wish her a happy, healthy and prosperity year ahead with abundance of love around her.

I used a mix of Crescent Colours threads and dmc as i like the variation as the design vertically hang. Hope she likes it too!

I used Pearls for the hanger on top and at the bottom of the bell-pull, like a tassels. Unfortunately i forgotten to snap a pic of the matching fabric used for the backing. Overall, it turned out great and hope Joei loves it.

Along with this, i also got for her "LHN Little women series". Since we are having a SAL for LHN Coffee and Tea series currently, i thought she will like these threadpacks too and maybe another SAL ;)

I was down with stomach flu past weeks and even passed it on to my boys. Due to that i couldn't stitch much as the medicine makes me drowiss! However we are on our way to recovery.

Joei completed her Frappuccino but seems like she gave me a booster jap, i was energize after that and surprising i managed to finished my "Frappuccino" within 2 days. SAL is so fun, wonderful and motivates each other too, isn't it!

My freshly 'brewed' Frappuccino. Tho Pink is my favourite colour, but this 'strawberry shortcake' crescent red looks very pretty, i just love this colour so much!

I be getting back to my "Sweet Treats" & "Little neighborhood" SAL. I hope there'll be more progress to share in my next post. I'll be busy starting my Christmas gifts stitching early too, looks like this year i have a long list to go!

Blog Anniversary Give-away ~

It's coming a year since i started blogging.
The past one year been very fruitful as i met stitchers all over the world to exchange and share our passion in stitching. I have also make couple of good friends along the way. Every comment left warms my heart and gives me more ideas and inspiration in my work.

SAL Progress

My SAL with Joei is progressing with the next piece completed-Caffe Latte. I have so far completed 4 designs from this series. I intend to frame it up individually upon completion. Looking forward to it, meanwhile i enjoy "sipping" latte as we stitch-along.

Caffe Latte~ Just love the name!
The colour for this piece is as rich as the caffe! Border forcus more on blue, i know Joei surely like this as blue is her favourite colour.

Next, for my Little House Neighborhood SAL, i have built my crimson colonial house on the right. That makes my center panel completly stitched. I shall move on to the bottom building my houses. I'm enjoying all the updates and progress from other stitches from this SAL. Seeing all the beautiful work stitched and shared with them really inspires me. Till my next updates, Happy Stitching~

Folk-art Pin-cushion

When i first saw this Folk-art pin-cushion in a Japanese magazine, i like it very much and wanted to make one. What makes it special is stitching for someone. Since i have already stitched scissor's case, fob and a measuring tape for my helper, Eva. This will make perfect to the whole collection since she doesnt have a pin-cushion.

I love the rich colours used in this pin-cushion,especially black. It stands out alot. I love the willow-trees and white fence too. To make it look more antique-looking, i added black tassels to the four corners. This is my first time making tassels. Overall i'm happy with the result.

As for the backing fabric,i have chosen black colour
with small floral print to match the design.

Meanwhile, i'm SAL for LHN little neighborhood and LHN Caffe Latte. It's progressing and i look forward to share next week.

SAL and WIP

Iced Tea, my SAL started with Joei. Having SAL with good buddy certainly makes stitching more fun and makes venting much more easiler too lol...
I actually frogged many times for this piece, probably because i stitched mainly at night. I wrote to Joei venting over it! She certainly knows which part i'm talking about since she is working on the same piece too. Luckily my frog din't visits her lol!
Joei is stitching 6 blocks of Coffee & Tea series in one piece of fabric, different from mine. I just love how hers turned out so far, lovely colours and great progress. Pop by and take alook at hers, you will be impress just as i am.

series i'm currently working on.
I have completed two blocks this time,

Little House Neighborhood SAL

I'm excited and looking forward to share my WIP.
This is my progress so far for Little House Neighborhood SAL.
I used my own coffee-dyed 32ct linen. I still can smell the caffe as i stitch along!
I like the overall dyed results, it's shades of brown.

Can u hear the birds chirping on the tree that i just 'planted'?

Moving on to build the houses next to my tree and will share once its built.
I love building houses, especially LHN ones!

WIP-LHN Sweet Treats

I'm so excited & feeling great when i turned few of my 'To-do' into WIP!
There are just too many beautiful projects i can't resist stitching!

This is one of my favourite from CCN. Started with the top border and first block-Cupcake. Its so pretty with all the sweet treats & lovely buttons for this design.
Fabric is 28ct Laguna Mushroom.
I have fell in love using Crescent colours thread too ever since i stitched alot of LHN/CCN designs that uses Crescent colours. I love the variation in the stitches, very natural shades.

Moving on to LHN Neighborhood SAL that i joined. I'm just as excited as this is my first group SAL. I'm looking forward to it as it's gonna be very fun stitching with people and share our progress as we go along. Will update my progress every week.

WIP-Count down to Christmas

I'm currently stitching LK 2008 Christmas Flip-it series.

I started with the first block "Holly" and will stitch the border as i go along.
This design is fast and fun to stitch! I just love the bright Christmasy colours used in this design. Fabric is 32ct Lugana Ivory.

There are all together 12 blocks.

I have change the outer border from white to red as my fabric is light cream in colour, hence white border may not be that obvious. Red reminds me of Christmas Poinsettias too!

Moving on to the next block, "Stocking" as i count down to Christmas.

LHN ALways & Forever

My hubby likes to have his icy tea drink placed on the computer table whenever he surf the net. I wanted to make a coaster for him and this design just suit so well. i used variation dmc and sew it into a coaster for him.

The back of the fabric is orangy red to match with this dmc variation. I have also placed cotton batting inside to absorb water when he puts his ice tea on it.

Like the saying goes... "Loving you always and forever"
I'm happy to know that he likes it as much as i do and its useful for him.

Cappuccino & SAL

After knowing that my friend Joei is currently stitching this pattern, i asked her for a SAL. As she had already completed two in the series,while me only one, very sweet of her to suggest that she will wait for me to complete the second one before both of us can start our private SAL. I'm looking forward to SAL with her for the rest four designs we left with.
Here it is so far.., Herbal Tea & Cappuccino.

Cappuccino is just as fun & pleasure to stitch using silk floss.

Tissue-Case

This is a tissue case specially stitched for my niece.
As she is not into cross-stitching, hence i thought it will be nice to stitch something of practical use for her.
Lace is use for the front opening shown in this pic.

I like this Russian doll design a lot.
It's such a sweetie!
The colours are pastel and subtly sweet.

Next, i intend to stitch a little tote-bag to go along with this tissue-case before i present it to her. Hope she likes it as much as i do...

LHN - Herbal Tea

I have started my LHN Coffee & Tea series. I will be stitching and frame each individual piece with my own coffee-dyed 32ct fabric.

Herbal Tea, the first to start with.
Love its colour and variation in the silk floss.
This is the first time and really enjoyed stitching
with silk floss. It's so smooth and goes through
fabric swiftly.

It took me 4days to complete it. As I like its crimson rich colour so much, i just can't pend down the needle but to finish it and let it 'bloom' in my house.

LHN GingerBread Cottage

I have just framed up my LHN Gingerbread Cottage. I love its sweet pastel colours, how nice if such cottage really exists.

I did some modification by adding lace and gingerbread man buttons as the finished size is small since i didint stitch the border for this design.

Uses lace for the top and bottom for the border.

Using gingerbread man buttons for both side.
Isn't it cute!

Specially stitch for my helper, Eva

It's been quite awhile since i last blog. I was in a stitching slump, i have a few wip's but somehow just can't get myself to work on it. To get myself back to stitching,i think is none other than stitching for someone dear as a gift.
I decided to stitch something for my helper, Eva.
Eva have been with us a year plus and she also started stitching under my influence. She has since completed many finishes and i probably share it here next time. She will be very happy to hear from fellow stitchers on her work.

i thought it would great if she has a pair of scissor and measuring tape of her own. Hence, i brought and together i stitched a wee LK scissor fob pair with a scissor's case for her.

The measuring tape i stitched is her initial 'E' on one side while the other side, spider-stitch roses which Yuko have taught me. I really love this rose stitch, as they looks so real and pretty. The side is matching lace to go along the colours i used for the measuring tape.Pink is Eva's favourite colour.

I have stitched for her this design from french designer Zaza Pique,personalise it with her name and framed. It really looks like her with the pan and kitchen cloth on her hands :)

I am so happy to hear that she likes it all and inspire by my work. I more than happy to share with her my stitching stash and most of all, our love and passion in stitching.

With these little thoughts i share with her, hope she is happy and continue to work with us happily.

Specially stitch for Joei~

"Little cups of friendship" and "Tea for two"

Using fabric & lace, i finished up this LK "Little cups of friendship" Specially stitched for my good friend Joei. I love the vibrant colourful cups.
Whenever i looked at my stitched LK "Friends for All Season" which was a gift given by her,it always reminds me of Joei and our friendship which i truly treasure.
Hence, i thought it would be nice to stitch something of similar sentiment in return to her so whenever she sips her cuppa, it'll reminds her of me too hehe...
Hence the 3 cups represent 3 good buddies,Joei, Yvonne and myself, our treasurable friendship!
As Yvonne is staying at the other side of the globe, i wish one day three good friends can meet up. I certainly look forward to that day!

I have also stitched this "Tea for two" tea-sachet filled up with dried tea-leaves. The smells of the Earl grey tea-leaves makes one feel great!

I have just 'upholstery' a plain measuring tape using Redwork variation. It matches this redwork scissor-case stitched & given by Joei.
After~
Ribbon and laces was used for the side-trimming and a heart-shape silver charms for the tape-head.

Friends for all seasons

Last month when i received this beautiful birthday present from Joei, i just couldnt wait any longer to stitch it! It's from one of my favourite designer, Lizzie Kate. I love its whimsical design and rich colours.
What makes stitching this most memorable is the title " Friends for all season". Not only i wish we can be friends for all season but till eternity.
This chart came with beautiful charms that i adore.
Look at Spring, a beautiful butterfly flying around the tree.

What a cute little snail crawling happily on the greenish grass welcoming the fun & sun in Summer.

snow flaks on Snow man for a cold winter.

Whenever i look at this, it reminds me of Joei and our great friendship i truly treasure...

Rose Cottage Framed!

Just completed this CCN Rose cottage. Instead of using Crescent Colours, i converted it to DMC myself. Overall, the pink colour looks very vibrant and i'm satisfied with the convertion effect.

Pin-Keep & Wee Pin-Cushion Spoon~

I used green floral fabric for the backing and added crystal beads for the pin-head which sparkle and shines!

This time, i uses wooden spoon as the base for this pin-cushion. i love trying out using different material to make pin-cushion.
Look at those lovely colourful sparkling pins that Joei specially make for me for my birthday, i like it very much!

I uses 32ct white linen, one over one. Even tho this is a small design, i had a hard time straining my eyes! lol... i love the pearls around the pin-cushion.

I have specially stitched this Lizzie Kate 'Friendship begins with Kindness' for my friend, Ong. Hope she likes it!

I used wooden chopping board as base, heart-shape buttons and i replaced the checkers under the teapot with lace. Overall, i think its sweet and lovely and i intend to stitch one for myself too.

I love to handmade little crafty things to decor my home.
These are few items i have made last week.

A country kitchen patchwork using embroidery stitching with fabric borders. It goes so well with my flowers rolling pin.

This is a plain white lamp for my dressing table, i have re-upholstery the lamp using fabric and lace. Is it more country-looking now?

i have also arrange a sweet rosy wreath for my kitchen entrance.

Heartwarming Birthday

I had a heartwarming birthday this year as i received many warm wishes and pressies from family and friends.
These are some pressies from my very special stitcher's friends that i like to share...

I received two pressies at the same day from my very good friend, Joei and Yvonne. I felt very touched by their warm wishes, sweet thoughts and love every bit they have specially sent me. To my dearest friends, thank you and appreciate every effort preparing to make this day so special for me.

Joei is a very neat stitcher, you can tell from her works and even her detailed wrapping of presents. As i slowly unwrapped the beautifully wrapped gift,it takes me a moment to think the time she spent just to wrapped it nicely, the effort is very much appreciated!

Joei certainly knows that i love whimsical designs alot,especially from Lizzie Kate. She got me a chart 'Friends for All seasons',its so meaningful to our friendship too! I just can't wait to stitch it!

I was jumping with excitement when i saw a pair of stock scissor which i wanted to get for myself long ago! She makes my dream comes true! Its so elegant! Not only i'm going to use it, i will also use it to display with my finishes in future when i post in my blog. Thank You So Much Yvonne!

Another wonderful surprise i got from Sachiko! She was just asking about my birthdate a week ago, and shortly i received this great surprise from her!
She must have been stitching day and night just to sent this out on time for me. Thank you Sachiko, i really appreciate it!Look at these sweet lovely stuffs she sent me, so many! Hello Kitty handphone strap which i going to use it on my handphone,Japanese Kimono fabric, great for my patchwork project,Hello kitty-shape Chocolates(guess what,my sons finished it before i could snap a pic of it. The chocolate is so cute with Hello kitty shape and they are certainly yummilicious!. Thats not all! There are also Cute festival decorative mini dolls, a very sweet colour bisconu with crystal beads sewn at the edges.

Lastly her beautifully framed-up stitches "Bloom Where You Are Planted” from Birds of a Feather. The frame and the stitches suits my home, its now display in my living room.

I love to handicraft decorative things to decorate my home.
In the craze of rosy shabby chic, i have converted this dough rolling pin to hang in my kitchen.
I added teaset buttons, hang up using ribbon and added a little details with my favourite roses arrangement at both of the rolling handles. Yes...Rose again lol...

My childhood ambition was to become a fashion designer. As i grew up, i dream to own a bridal boutique.
Till the day when i can realise my dream...meanwhile i shall enjoy this little 'Boutique' of mine that i stitched.

I love the little details in this "LHN La Boutique'. The Gold chantalier, black lamp-post, the shop interior decor by the window, the little cute puppy...

I have many collection. I just love collecting things!

Was going through my miniatures collection which i brought many years back in England, found this cute little sewing machine miniature and knitting yarn.
Hence the thought of starting collecting anything regards to sewing, like thimbles, sewing machine miniature... to display at my sewing corner.

My hubby brought me this SINGER sewing machine miniature which i like it very much. I can store my bobbins, needles & threads inside the little drawer.
I intend to continue treasure-hunting for such antique to add on to my new collection.

Specially Stitch for Joei

I have specially chosen this design from Casamia for my very good friend, Joei as she likes angels,cherubs very much.

I wanted to present the finished piece with frame and given it a European classical look. I went around to look for a suitable frame but couldnt find one.
Eventually found one that fit its size but in Green colour. Hence i did a little bit of DIY by painting a code of brown paint follow by tint of gold paint in an uneven texture.

I'm happy with the result, infact, the gold reflects its shine at different angle.
I hope Joei will like what i have specially stitched for her.
I wish her and her family, a Joyeux Noel!

My very good friend Yvonne, have recently moved home and i wanted to stitch something specially for her. I wanted to present to her in a complete framed piece without glass.
Eventually i have chosen this design "Les cles du Bonheur", i named it "Keys to Happiness" from Echevette

I uses 32ct Raw Linen, love its rich crimson colour from DMC 498. I did some modification and replace it with my ideas. I added a little lock and an antique key and finishes it with lace border. It looks nicer without the glass frame, exactly what i wanted. I like it so much too and intend to stitch one for myself. I hope Yvonne will like it too and it will be hang in her new home.
Like i named it "Keys to Happiness", may her new home brings her doors to good luck, fortune, health and lots of happiness...

I received great surprise from Yuko!

When i sent Yuko a little token of appreciation last month, I was very grateful and thankful for her help and never did i expect her to sent something in return specially for me! And so much so much more!!!

Oh mine...look at all the goodies Yuko sent me! I was jumping in excitement as i browse through the nicely wrapped gifts.I love all the goodies Yuko sent me.

Look at these beautiful Christmas coasters she sewn, not one but five Yuko gave me! I'm going to use it for Christmas party at home this Sunday. I'll be proudly to share it's sewn with love by a stitcher's good friend. It looks so much like a real Christmas Poinsettia.

Different types of Japanese Green Tea. I love the packaging, they are so pretty! I'm currently having bad cough, these will certainly soothe my throat!

She also added in alot of sewing stash, Hello Kitty stuffs, sweets, biscuits, candles for me. I'm truly delighted!

Knowing i love Japanese craft magazine, she also brought me Home sweet craft Magazine specially for me. I'm gona have great time going through the magazine as i sip with the soothing green tea she gave me.

I'm still enjoying looking at the goodies Yuko sent me. I want to share my heartfelt thanks and appreciate her kindness and friendship.

Gave me not one but TWO pressies!
I was so excited and my heart was beating so fast as i unwrap my pressies.

The first one was from my very good friend, Joei. Look at all these goodies she got for me! A lovely floral Bisconu, a pin-keep i dreamt for and DMC linen floss.

I intended to stitch this design from my favourite designer, P.Samou after i finish with all my Christmas gift stitching. I wanted to make into a pin-keep too. And now...she make my dream comes true, stitching one for me! I love it very much!

I have never seen an actual Bisconu before and always wanted to learn to stitch one too. Joei stitched alot of beautiful Bisconu which i truly adore. She have make me one and i just love the florals, they looks so real! It has different types of stitches and I like the clay buttons in the center, it so lovely!

Another surprise sweet treat came from another of my very good buddy from Denmark, Yvonne.
She got me fabrics from Silkweaver. I really love the colours of the fabbie. The colours are so sweet!I'm gonna have a great time choosing what designs to stitch using the fabric.

Many Thanks Joei, Yvonne for sending Santa to me and i love everything both of you sent me. I'm so blessed to have wonderful soulmates like both of you, who are always there for me and i will treasure this friendship of ours eternally.

Ever since i set up my blog,i'm very happy that i have met many stitchers around the globe. I have also make a few friends from here. I look forward to share and have many more wonderful friendship that comes along as we share our passion in cross-stitching...

Sachiko is one of them! We have a few emails exchange and since became friends. I also found out that we have many similarities in common. Both of us have 3 children around the same age and our common liking in particular designers. I love to read her blog and going through her beautiful finishes, she sews beautiful clothes too.

Knowing she is a fan of LHN also, i have stitched this LHN "Winter" specially for her, framed with lace border, just in time for Christmas. I'm so happy to hear from her that she have received and she likes it as much as i do.

its "Snowing"

Every year at Tanglin Mall, there's "snow" play, month ahead before Christmas.
It was many years back when i brought my eldest boy,Yi there. He was a little boy then... This round we were back to the same place, but i'm a mother of three already, and Yi is already nine years old. Time flies...

The theme for this year is 'Country Christmas', a theme i very much like...Just the way i decor my home.

Tho the snow play or rather foam play only lasted half an hour, but my children enjoyed very much. So am i! Makes me feel like a kid again. It was exciting and we had alot of fun!

Last month when my niece visited Japan, i wanted her to help me get some cross-stitch stuffs but clueless where she can source the items for me.
It was very nice of Yuko who gave me her advice and wrote me a list of crafty things and books i can look out for in Japan.
I really appreciate her time and effort in listing down all these useful information for me. In return,i want to show my little gesture of appreciation by stitching something for her.
I have chosen this "Daisy Lane Cottage" from LHN as i know she's a fan of LHN too.

I really hope she likes everything i got for her and most importantly, our friendship will progress from here and i look forward for many good years to come as we share our common passion in stitching too.

its TEA-TIME

One of my collection is collect teapots, tea-sets.
When i first saw this Tea-Time, i was attracted by its tea-set charms and wanted to add it in my collection. Isn't it great to stitch and at the same time collect things that you like?
I enjoyed stitching the eye-let stitches for the table-cloth, it looks lacey which i like but i had a hard time re-doing the flowers border. But after finished, its all worth it~

These are some teasets i collected. Those miniatures brought back good memories as it was brought during our trip in England and Amsterdem

I love Earl Grey and English Tea. What about you?
